If you want to plan a Simple Oahu Wedding, look no further than Keiki Beach Bungalows. In December, I had the the honor to officiate the marriage of Annie and John. Their wedding day was beautiful, simple, and effortless.
A Meaningful and Simple Oahu Wedding
I loved this wedding because it exemplifies a Simple Oahu Wedding and how you really can have it all all! You can have that barefoot beach wedding and still party afterwards! Annie started her evening with the glam team from Reveal Hair and Makeup. Then, on the patio of their room at Keiki Beach Bungalow, they had drinks and pupus. Just before the sunset, we traveled down to the beach for the ceremony.
What made the ceremony extra special was the meaning behind it. John is a surfer who has been surfing the North Shore for 30+ years. We began the ceremony with an opening prayer recited from one of the couple’s closest friends. Then, I lead a moment of grounding when the couple and their loved ones were able to breathe, and take in every ounce of the moment. As John beautifully said (or I’ll do my best to sum up his words!). “In front of the mountains and the ocean, with my feet in the sand, I declare my love and commitment for you!” Annie and John then said their “I Do’s” with their feet in the sand in front of the waves that mean so much to them. After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with live music, food, and dancing under the stars steps away from the beach outside of their bungalow.
I absolutley loved officiating this wedding. If you are going for a simple oahu wedding, or thinking of getting married in Hawai’i. I would love to be a part of your day. You can inquire with me here!
